A relaxed restaurant with a lively atmosphere and good food, so it’s not surprising that it’s always full. Occupying a charming small house in the Vila Madalena neighbourhood of the city, Cais features tables outdoors next to the window, seats at the counter by the kitchen, as well more traditional tables. Run by Adriano de Laurentiis in the kitchen and his business partner Guilherme Giraldi, sommelier and front of house manager, its cuisine is centred around fresh fish and seafood. The concise menu is constantly updated in line with the availability and freshness of seasonal ingredients. Having savoured the delicious appetisers on offer here, we particularly recommend the week’s selection of fish and seafood, followed by the creamy and delicate cheesecake served with a milk sorbet.
